Frequently asked questions

How many guests can the boat take? +
The AUREA I carries up to 8 guests plus the captain within 3 miles of Mahé, the marine park included, and 6 guests beyond that limit. We never share with strangers, so the boat is always private to your party.
Where do trips depart from? +
All departures are from Eden Island Marina, Mahé. We arrange free hotel transfers from most northern and eastern Mahé properties.
How do I confirm a booking? +
Submit a request via any excursion page or our contact form. We confirm availability quickly during operating times by email and WhatsApp. No payment is required at this stage.
What about the weather? +
If bad maritime or weather conditions prevent us from carrying out the trip, it is rescheduled to a later date. We confirm your reservation the day before the excursion. Light rain rarely cancels: the boat has shade and safety equipment for tropical conditions.
What should I bring? +
Swimsuit, sun protection, light layer for the return trip. We provide towels, snorkel gear, drinks, and snacks. For full-day trips, lunch is included or arranged with you.
Can I customize an excursion? +
Yes. Our bespoke private charter is built around your wishes. For signature itineraries, we can also adapt timing, stops, and catering on request.
Are children welcome? +
Absolutely. We carry life jackets in all sizes and the captain adapts the route to family pace. Let us know ages in your booking notes.
How do I pay? +
Once we confirm, you receive a secure payment link. We accept major cards via Skrill / Verifone, as well as bank transfer. The booking is confirmed by full payment of the service in advance.
Is there a toilet on board? +
Yes. The AUREA I has an enclosed cabin with a toilet, a shower and a fridge.
What about drinks? +
Drinks are on board and included in the price: standard soft drinks and water.
What about lunch on a full day at sea? +
You have lunch ashore. Almost every island has its own restaurant and you can book your table there: they are exceptional places, rarely crowded.
Are masks and snorkels provided? +
Yes. Masks, snorkels, fins and snorkelling vests are provided.
What time do we leave? +
The time is yours. We suggest leaving between 8:30 and 9:00 am: that is when the light on the islands is at its best.
